Vikings Postgame Report: The Minnesota Vikings Defeat The New Orleans Saints 23-13 In The Big Easy, Improve To 5-0 - WK 5

Welcome back to the Vikings Postgame Report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the New Orleans Saints 23-13 on Sunday afternoon down at Caesars Superdome. The Vikings offense racked up 364 yards of total offense in the game, while the defense only allowed 142 yards for the Saints. Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray had 229 yards in the air and a passing touchdown while also adding 51 yards on the ground. Running back Aaron Jones Sr. answered the bell with 25 carries for 113 yards and a rushing touchdown after bulldogging his way to the endzone deep in the 4th quarter. Hometown kid Justin Jefferson led the receiving corps with six receptions for seventy-nine yards, and a sweet triple coverage touchdown grab in the third quarter. Place kicker Will Reichard was once again perfect on the day, kicking three field goals (40, 54, 55) and two extra points. Defensively, the guys made it rough on Saints quarterback Tyler Shough all day. The Saints only amassed 142 total yards on 87 yards passing and 55 yards rushing.  Cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. led the efforts with 2 interceptions on Shough, linebacker Blake Cashman led the defense with 9 tackles and outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel kept the team's sack streak going with one in the contest.  Paul Allen and Pete Bercich breakdown the game, including the Vikings overcoming injury adversities, Aaron Jones Sr. stepping up to shoulder the load, Byron Murphy Jr.'s big day, Will Reichard continuing to be a difference maker and Kyler Murray's successes running the offense in the game.  Plus, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell and Kyler Murray's press conferences and more are all in this edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.
