Vikings Postgame Report: The Vikings Drop Their Week 3 Tilt Against The Chargers 28-24, Search For Answers | LAC | Week 3

Welcome to Week 3 of the Vikings Postgame Report. The Vikings drop their second home game and move to 0-3, this time against the Chargers at U.S. Bank Stadium. The inability to convert in critical situations and costly turnovers seemed to prove too difficult to overcome. The Vikings Offense only converted 1-of-4 attempts inside the Red Zone, including an interception in the endzone with only seconds remaining in the game. Kirk Cousins once again threw for over 300 yards, had 3 TD's, and 1 INT. He was under duress throughout, taking 4 sacks. Jefferson ended his day with 7 receptions, 149 yards, and a touchdown.  Mattison had 20 carries for 93 tough yards on the day. Defensively, the Vikings were attacked threw the air all day. Chargers Receiver Keenan Allen gave the secondary fits, finishing with a personal best 18 receptions for 215 yards. He also threw a 49-yard touchdown, and the Chargers racked up 454 total yards receiving. One positive in the game was the Vikings rush defense only allowed the Chargers 30 yards in the game. Danielle Hunter had the lone sack for the Vikings and Jordan Hicks recovered the only Chargers fumble on the day. The Vikings now shift their attention to the Panthers down in Charlotte on November 1st. Paul Allen, Mark Rosen, and Pete Bercich recap the offensive problems holding onto the ball, Justin Herbert's execution against our Secondary, Keenan Allen's career day, the inability to capitalize on defensive turnovers, and the need for our players to win in one-on-one situations. Plus, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell and Quarterback Kirk Cousins both spoke to the media at the postgame press conference. All of this and more is in the 2023 Week 3 edition of the Vikings Postgame Report.
