EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals at noon (CT) Sunday, Sept. 21, as part of Week 3.
The game will amount to a battle of backup QBs and beyond.
Minnesota is preparing August addition Carson Wentz for his first start in Purple after J.J. McCarthy suffered a high-ankle sprain against Atlanta in Week 2. McCarthy finished the game but is now week-to-week.
Cincinnati is preparing Jake Browning to fill in for Joe Burrow, who suffered a toe injury in Week 2 that will require surgery. Browning started against Minnesota in December 2023 and led a Bengals comeback in a 27-24 overtime contest.
