Eden Prairie, MN (December 3, 2014) – TheMinnesota VikingsandUnitedHealthcareare partnering to host a food and fund drive prior to the Vikings game versus the New York Jets onDecember 7. From10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, volunteers from UnitedHealthcare will take donationsoutside of each gate of TCF Bank Stadium and at the McNamara Alumni Center**.
Fans are encouraged to help in the fight against hunger in the heartland, particularly senior hunger, by donating non-perishable and non-breakable food items such as canned soup, canned fruits, canned vegetables, canned meat, pasta, rice and peanut butter. Today, more than half a million men, women, children, and seniors in Minnesota miss an estimated 100 million meals every year.
Monetary donations will be accepted around the concourse until halftime. Fans that cannot attend Sunday's game can still donate funds by visiting www.2harvest.org/vikings.
