The Vikings weathered windy conditions for a 37-17 road win over the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

Kirk Cousins threw a pair of 34-yard touchdowns, Latavius Murray added two scores on the ground, and Adam Thielen extended his consecutive games streak with at least 100 yards to seven.

The Vikings defense, meanwhile, intercepted Jets rookie quarterback Sam Darnold three times and sacked him on three other plays.

And the special teams delivered a mostly solid performance on a particularly tricky day that ended with Minnesota's first-ever win in a road games against the Jets franchise.

Cousins completed 25 of 40 passes for 241 yards with two scores and a passer rating of 95.9.

Thielen led the Vikings with 110 yards and the first of Cousins' 34-yard touchdown passes, which occurred less than two minutes into the game. Thielen was targeted 10 times and had receptions on nine plays.

Aldrick Robinson caught Cousins' final touchdown pass of the game in the fourth quarter.

Stefon Diggs added 33 yards on eight receptions, and Brandon Zylstra's first NFL reception went for a gain of 23.

Murray streaked on a 38-yard touchdown run and steamrolled much of the rest of the day, finishing with 69 yards on 15 carries. Roc Thomas added a 23-yard run as Minnesota totaled 88 net rushing yards.

Harrison Smith, Holton Hill, who was filling in after Xavier Rhodes left with an injury, and Trae Waynes intercepted Darnold.

Jayron Kearse and Jalyn Holmes each recorded sacks, and Danielle Hunter split one with Jaleel Johnson.

Hill did well on kickoff returns, and Marcus Sherels was steady during punt returns. Dan Bailey was 3-for-4 on field goals and 4-for-4 on extra points.

The Vikings were 2-for-15 on third downs, and the Jets were 2-for-13.
