On Wednesday the Vikings announced a pair of roster moves prior to the team's afternoon practice.

The club elevated S Ahmad Dixon (pictured above) from the practice squad to the active roster. He takes the place of T J'Marcus Webb, who was released on Tuesday. Dixon, a rookie out of Baylor, was a seventh round pick by the Cowboys this year and was briefly on the Vikings practice squad in September before being signed to the Bears active roster where he saw action in three games before being waived and signed back to Minnesota's practice squad.

The Vikings added a player to the practice squad as well on this day, signing rookie G Jordan McCray out of Central Florida. McCray was signed by the Packers as a rookie free agent after the draft but released in late August. He re-joined the Packers practice squad last month before being waived again.
