On Wednesday the Vikings signed RB Henry Josey to the active roster after spending the entire 2014 season on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Josey entered the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent. He went through training camp and the preseason with the Eagles before being released during final roster cuts. He finished second in the league in preseason rushing with 225 yards on 34 carries, averaging 6.6 yards per carry. He also hauled in three passes for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Josey, who played collegiately at Missouri, rushed for 1,166 yards and 16 touchdowns in 2013. He missed the entire 2012 season after suffering a knee injury late in 2011.

The Vikings have also signed LB Justin Anderson out of Louisiana-Lafayette to the practice squad after time with the New York Giants in 2014. Anderson, who was signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2014, has spent time on both the Giants active roster and practice squad this season. Anderson was active for two games this season and appeared in both. He was an All-Sun Belt performer and recorded 132 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 1 interception, 3 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries as a senior.
