Vikings Sign Former Saints DT Tom Johnson

The Minnesota Vikings have signed free agent DT Tom Johnson, the club announced today.

Johnson joins the Minnesota Vikings after spending the previous 3 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. Since making his NFL debut in 2011, Johnson has appeared in 40 regular season games and 4 playoff games. As a member of the Saints, he recorded 86 tackles and 5 sacks. In 2013, he recorded 15 tackles and 2 sacks in 12 games. After originally signing as an undrafted free agent with Indianapolis in 2006, he spent time in NFL Europe, the Arena Football League and the Canadian Football League before seeing his first NFL game action in 2011.
