Vikings Re-Sign Larry Dean

The Minnesota Vikings have announced they have re-signed LB Larry Dean.

Dean has appeared in all 48 games the Vikings have played since he joined the team in 2011 as an undrafted free agent. Primarily seeing time on special teams, Dean has recorded 48 career special teams tackles, finishing second on the team in both 2012 and 2013. Dean recorded a career-best 4 special teams tackles at Baltimore (12/8/13), most in a single-game by a Viking in 2013. The former Division-II standout set a career- high with 18 special teams tackles in 2013. The 2013 season saw him force and recover the first fumbles of his career, recovering 1 vs. Cleveland (9/22) and forcing 1 at the New York Giants (10/21). Dean also plays a key role in the Vikings punt and kick return game which has excelled since his arrival. Dean was nominated as the Vikings Pro Bowl specialist in 2011 and 2012.
