Vikings-Packers Gameday Updates

10:43 PM - The Vikings move to 2-0 with a 17-14 win over Green Bay on Sunday Night Football. Stefan Diggs had 182 receiving yards and a touchdown while Sam Bradford threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns. Minnesota defense sack Aaron Rodgers five times and Trae Waynes came up with a crucial interception late to help seal the deal.

10:37 PM - Vikings cornerback Trae Waynes picks off Aaron Rodgers with under two minutes left. Minnesota's defense come sup clutch yet again. The Vikings take over on their own 45-yard line.

10:19 PM - Minnesota's defense comes up with a huge turnover. Brian Robison strips Aaron Rodgers and Shamar Stephen recovers the fumble. The Vikings lead 17-14 and take over on their own 44-yard line.

10:12 PM - The Vikings go three-and-out but Jeff Locke pins the Packers inside the 20-yard line. Green Bay takes over on their own 15-yard line with the Vikings leading 17-14.

10:04 PM - Green Bay cuts the Vikings lead to 17-14 on a 10-yard touchdown run by Aaron Rodgers. The packers were called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after the play.

9:59 PM - Minnesota leads Green Bay 17-7 at the end of the third quarter. Sam Bradford is 21 of 28 for 271 yards and 2 touchdowns in his Vikings debut. The Packers will have the ball on Minnesota's 33-yard line to open the fourth quarter.

9:56 PM -Adrian Peterson has been ruled out with a knee injury.

9:52 PM - The Vikings lead 17-7 as Stefon Diggs continues his monster game as he hauls in a 25-yard touchdown pass from Sam Bradford. He has a career-high eight catches for a career-high 167 yards. He had 7 catches for 74 yards in two games against Green Bay in 2015.

9:46 PM - Adrian Peterson left the field after a 5-yard gain in the third quarter. He was replaced by Jerick McKinnon.

9:36 PM - The Vikings defense stuffs a run on fourth-and-2 deep in Minnesota territory. The Packers turn it over on downs as the Vikings take over on their own 13-yard line.

9:26 PM -Minnesota drives to midfield but Bradford is sacked on third down. Locke's punt is fair caught at the 14-yard line.

9:19 PM - The second half is underway as Green Bay takes over on their own 24-yard line. Harrison Smith makes a clutch tackle to keep the Packers a yard shy of the first down. Minnesota takes over on their own 23-yard line after the punt.

9:00 PM - The Vikings lead 10-7 at halftime. Kyle Rudolph caught an 8-yard touchdown and Blair Walsh nailed a 46-yard field goal for Minnesota's points. The Vikings defense has limited Green Bay's offense to just 65 total yards.

8:55 PM -Blair Walsh drills a 46-yard field goal with 27 second left in the second quarter to give the Vikings a 10-7 lead. Bradford connected with Diggs for a 44-yard play on that drive to get Minnesota in field goal range.

8:45 PM - The Packers drive past midfield but their drive stalls. Marcus Sherels calls for a fair catch at the 13-yard line with 4:41 left in the second quarter. Green Bay has 56 yards of total offense so far.

8:38 PM - Green Bay's defense responds with a stand of its own and forces the Vikings to punt without getting  first down. The packers take over on their own 24-yard-line.

8:31 PM - Minnesota's defense makes quick work of Green Bay's offense as the Packers go three-and-out after a pair of runs and an incomplete pass. The Vikings take over on their own 34-yard-line.

8:23 PM -The Vikings have scored the team's first-ever touchdown at U.S. Bank Stadium.

The game is tied on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Sam Bradford to Kyle Rudolph. Bradford helped Minnesota put together a 10-play drive, completing seven passes on the drive. The ensuing kickoff is a touchback as Green Bay takes over on their own 25-yard line.

Bradford was 7-9 on passing attempts for 67 yards on that drive.

8:13 PM -Danielle Hunter sacks Aaron Rodgers on third down and forces a fumble but the packers recover. Green Bay punts it away and the Vikings take over on their own 46-yard line. Minnesota trails 7-0 at the end of the first quarter.

8:08 PM - Minnesota's offense gets a first down on a catch by Stefan Diggs but the Vikings are eventually forced to punt. Jeff Locke booms a punt down to the Green Bay 10-yard line where the Packers will take over.

7:56 PM - The Vikings trail 7-0 as Green Bay gets on the board first with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson. Minnesota was called for a defensive pass interference during that series that gave Green Bay the ball at the 4-yard line.

7:50 PM - Minnesota's offense goes three-and-out before Green Bay partially blocks Jeff Locke's punt. The Packers take over on their own 48-yard line.

7:45 PM - The Vikings force a three-and-out after the Packers recover Sendejo's fumble. The Vikings offense takes over on their own 47-yard line. after a 38-yard punt.

7:42 PM - The Vikings force a fumble on Green Bay's first offensive play. The fumble was recovered by Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo, who then fumbled on his own. Green Bay recovers and takes over on their own 10-yard line.

7:39 PM - Bradford finds Adam Thielen for a first down but the Vikings are forced to punt. Jeff Locke booms a beautiful 49-yard punt as Green Bay takes over on their own 10-yard-line.

7:34 PM -Sam Bradford leads the Vikings offense out on the field. Minnesota take over on the 25-yard-line after a touchback on the kickoff.

7:30 PM - Green Bay wins the toss and defers, the Vikings will receive the opening kickoff. Welcome to U.S. Bank Stadium!

6:03 PM -The Vikings announced the following players will be inactive for tonight's home opener against the Packers:

WR Jarius Wright, CB Xavier Rhodes, LB Kentrell Brothers, LB Edmond Robinson, C Nick Easton, DT Sharrif Floyd and TE MyCole Pruitt.

Rhodes is missing a second straight week with a knee injury. Floyd and Pruitt were ruled out Friday.

The Vikings started Trae Waynes in place of Rhodes in the season opener.

After years of construction and weeks of events and preseason games, tonight U.S. Bank Stadium will finally host its first regular season NFL game as the Vikings take on the Packers on NBC's "Sunday Night Football," with kickoff scheduled for just after 7:30.

It's expected that Sam Bradford will take over as the Vikings starting quarterback beginning this evening, but stay tuned for updates on that situation along with the inactives, which will be released just after 6 PM.
