ROUND TWO TRADES

Vikings Trade Jonathan Greenard to Eagles; Receive 2026 & 2027 Round 3 Picks
Minnesota traded outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard and the 244th overall pick of 2026 to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a third-round pick in 2026 (98th overall) and a third-round pick in 2027, the team announced Friday during Day 2 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Greenard joined the Vikings as a free agent in 2024 and made an impact on their defense under Brian Flores for two seasons.
The trade occurred with two seasons remaining on Greenard's four-year deal that was signed in 2024. It provides the Vikings with salary cap space this year and increased financial flexibility for next year.
It was the second trade of the night by Minnesota, which moved back two spots in Round 2 before selecting linebacker Jake Golday out of Cincinnati with the 51st overall pick.

Vikings Open Night 2 by Trading Picks with Panthers

Carolina received picks 49 and 196 in the second and sixth rounds, respectively, and Minnesota received picks 51 and 159 in the second and fifth.
Minnesota drafted former Florida standout Caleb Banks 18th overall Thursday night to kick things off.
