FIFTH ROUND TRADES
Saturday, April 26:

Vikings Send No. 172 to Rams for 201 & 202
The Vikings didn't let entering the 2025 NFL Draft with only four picks restrict their movement across the board.
Minnesota opted to execute its second trade of Saturday and third of the draft by sending the 172nd overall pick to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for the 201st and 202nd overall selections.

The Vikings have agreed on a deal to acquire quarterback Sam Howell.
Minnesota now has made three selections and two trades in the 2025 NFL Draft, using its most recent move to add Howell, who originally was drafted by Washington in 2022.
After trading the 97th pick to Houston Friday night and moving back to grab WR Tai Felton at 102, Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah moved around the draft board again Saturday.
Minnesota tabbed Georgia DL Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins 139th overall, then sent the 142nd pick to Seattle to acquire Howell and the 172nd overall pick.

Howell was drafted 144th overall in 2022 and spent his first two seasons with the Commanders before being traded to Seattle in March 2024.
Howell played for North Carolina, where he overlapped with Vikings RB Ty Chandler in 2021. He finished the season throwing for 3,056 with 24 touchdowns while rushing for 828 yards with 11 touchdowns. Following the 2021 campaign, he declared for the draft. Howell wrapped his Tar Heels career having thrown 92 touchdown passes for 10,283 yards, both school records. He threw at least one touchdown pass in every game he played in college.
The Vikings, who drafted OL Donovan Jackson 24th overall Thursday, now have one Day 3 selection remaining. The Vikings entered this weekend with four picks to go along with their highly touted free agency haul.
THIRD ROUND TRADE
Friday, April 25:

Vikings General Manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is still willing to move around the draft board.
A night after staying put and selecting Ohio State offensive lineman Donovan Jackson with the 24th overall pick of 2025, Adofo-Mensah worked out a deal to move down in the third round on Friday.
Minnesota acquired the 102nd and 142nd overall picks by sending No. 97 and No. 187 to the Houston Texans.
The decision occurs in a year where Minnesota entered the draft with four selections and is aiming to maximize the impact of each pick to go along with an ample haul in free agency.
Jackson enjoyed his first day on the job Friday.
