Todd McShay, a senior NFL draft analyst for ESPN, released his "**2019 All-Satellite Team**" of the best playmakers this week.

This is the 10th edition of the list by McShay, a continuation of a tradition that featured C.J. Spiller in the first list (2010) and Vikings running back Dalvin Cook in 2017.

This year's list as led by Oklahoma receiver Marquise Brown and quarterback Kyler Murray. It was followed by South Carolina receiver Deebo Samuel at No. 3, Stanford running back Bryce Love and UMass receiver Andy Isabella. Ohio State receiver Parris Campbell got an honorable mention.

In honor of Cook's prior placement on this team, here's what McShay had to say about the lone running back in this year's group, McShay wrote:

Remember what this dude was capable of when he was fully healthy? He is just so sudden with an incredible ability to stop and start, exploding out of his cuts. There's speed to pull away and the ability to make defenders miss. His patience is a real attribute in space. Love reads his blocks well and knows when to hit cutback lanes.

He gained at least 20 yards on 38 runs over the past two seasons, second in FBS, and averaged 3.5 yards before contact per run.

McShay had four other categories for running backs in a superlatives list.

He named Iowa State's David Montgomery (best contact-balance), Texas A&M's Trayveon Williams (best vision/patience, Georgia's Elijah Holyfield (best pass-pro) and Memphis' Darrell Henderson (best pass-catching) as this year's running back superlatives.

Three-time Pro Bowler Maurice Jones-Drew, a second-round pick in 2006, took a look at this year's **batch of running backs** for NFL.com.

Jones-Drew categorized players into three groupings: "day 1 starters," "system players" and "guys who need time to develop."

Just two running backs — both from Alabama — received status as "day 1 starters."

Jones-Drew said Josh Jacobs is "the top running back in this class" and noted that Jacobs "should have plenty left in the tank" because of his limited use in college.

And for Jacobs' teammate, Jones-Drew wrote that Damien Harris "is powerful with good vision and has the ability to help in the passing game."

Of the running backs mentioned by McShay, Montgomery was No. 3, Williams was No. 7, Henderson was No. 9, Love was No. 10 and Holyfield was No. 24 in Jones-Drew's listing.
