MINNEAPOLIS — Justin Jefferson reached another milestone with a Randy Moss connection Sunday.

It wasn't as early as he envisioned for the 2025 season, but Jefferson crossed the 1,000-yard mark for the sixth time in as many seasons.

He joined Moss (six seasons from 1998-2003) and Mike Evans (11 from 2014-24) as the only players to record at least 1,000 yards in each of their first six campaigns.

Jefferson entered the Vikings season finale needing 53 yards and totaled 39 of that on Minnesota's first possession.

The Vikings used a play-action pass from J.J. McCarthy to help create space for an 18-yard pass to start No. 18's day.

Two plays later, Minnesota utilized a pop pass from the shotgun formation as the receiver streaked in front of McCarthy and turned the corner for a gain of 10.

Jefferson added 11 more on a reception on third-and-17, setting up a 43-yard field goal by Will Reichard to cap the first possession of the game.

McCarthy found Jefferson for a gain of 12 on second-and-9 early during Minnesota's third possession of the game, but the drive stalled when the Vikings were unable to convert a third-and-1 with a run by Ty Chandler.

The Vikings were unable to convert third-and-6 with a backside slant pass designed to counter a blitz, but Jefferson sailed past the mark on his next opportunity, reeling in a 17-yard reception that moved Minnesota past midfield on the way to a 25-yard field goal by Reichard.

Jefferson, who finished the first half with five catches for 68 yards, joined Cris Carter (8 seasons with 1,000+ receiving yards) and Moss (6 seasons) as the only Vikings with at least six 1,000-yard seasons in their careers.
