EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings (8-4) will return home to open the fourth quarter of the 2019 regular season by hosting the Detroit Lions (3-8-1).
The Vikings bounced back with a win after each of their first three losses this season and are trying to do the same in the noon (CT) Sunday kickoff.
Here are three notes on the matchup and information on how to watch or listen to the game.
Aired it out: In the teams' first meeting this season (Oct. 20), the Vikings became just the second team to score more than 40 points against the Lions since Matt Patricia was hired. The other occurrence was by the Jets in the 2018 regular-season opener and Patricia's first game as a head coach. Kirk Cousins tossed four touchdown passes, threw for 333 yards and compiled his best passer rating in Purple (141.5) in the 42-30 victory. Minnesota is the only team to defeat Detroit this season by more than one score.

10-pack of sacks/possible milestone: The last time that the Lions visited U.S. Bank Stadium, the Vikings set a single-game record with 10 sacks, including 3.5 by Danielle Hunter. The 2015 third-round pick now has 49.5 career sacks and can become the youngest player to record 50 sacks. Matthew Stafford, who is not expected to play, has been sacked 65 times by the Vikings in 19 career games.
Scoring spree: With six touchdowns on the season (all since Week 7 at Detroit), Kyle Rudolph now has 47 for his career and 25 since 2016, which ranks second among tight ends behind Travis Kelce's 26 for the Chiefs since 2016.
