QB Matt Cassel left Sunday's game vs. the Saints early in the second quarter due to a toe injury sustained while scrambling on a third down play, giving way for rookie Teddy Bridgewater to take over.

Bridgewater led the Vikings to a field goal on his first drive, making the score at that time 14-6 New Orleans.

More to come later today and this week regarding Cassel's prognosis and the quarterback position.

UPDATE: Cassel will not return to today's game.
