EAGAN, Minn. — C.J. Ham and Adam Thielen are teaming up once again.
The friends and recently retired Vikings will co-host the 2026 UNRL Celebrity Softball Game to benefit Thielen Foundation. This year's event will take place Thursday, May 28, at CHS Field in St. Paul.
Originally started by Thielen and carried on by Ham during Thielen's two seasons in Carolina, the UNRL Celebrity Softball Game has become a fan favorite for all ages. Lifelong Vikings fan Andy Pothen and his wife Bethany are planning to bring their three young daughters for the fourth straight spring, along with close friends of theirs who have joined in on the tradition.
"We look forward to the game every year," Pothen told Vikings.com. "Not only is it an opportunity to support foundations that positively impact our community, but it's a family-friendly environment where our kids can see some of their favorite football players up close, having fun!
"Through the cheers, laughs and music, some of our favorite family memories have been created at this special event," Pothen added.
Similar to past matchups, the game will pit Vikings offensive players against the team's defensive players and special teamers. After back-to-back wins by Team Defense in 2023 and 2024, T.J. Hockenson helped lead Team Offense to a win in last year's matchup.
Team Offense and Team Defense will each be led by a captain — stay tuned for which Vikings will lead their respective squads.
In addition to proceeds benefiting Thielen Foundation, each team captain will receive a donation to designate to a Minnesota charity of his choice.
