MANKATO, Minn. –The Vikings have one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL, and female supporters of the team will have two unique opportunities at training camp Saturday during the inaugural Vikings Women's Day.
"Training Camp will have events on Saturday for all fans with an additional few highlights that Vikings Women might really enjoy," Vikings Director of Women's Initiatives Tami Krause said. "Including a 'beauty bar' with the American Cancer Society – think mini manis and lots of pink!"
The event will have a community focus as well. The Vikings Women are teaming up with nonprofit MATTER to box meals that will help those in need, and the first 500 fans to join Krause at the MATTER tent will receive a free Vikings Women visor.
"In 60 seconds, you can pack a box of food to help us get to our goal of packaging over 1,000 meals," Krause said.
Vikings Women are also hosting a **VIP event** Saturday. Attendees will receive an up-close experience of practice from the comfort of an air-conditioned tent and enjoy appetizers and drinks.
"We have a special gift to treat each of our guests in the VIP tent, and we want everyone to have a chance to get a photo/autograph with a legendary Vikings alumni," Krause said. "We will have some special giveaway items and have so much fun – I'm hoping to see many Vikings Women and Vikings fans in Mankato."
