On Friday the Vikings announced that the club has signed free agent DT Greg Hickman. To make room for Hickman on the roster, the team placed WR Gavin Lutman on the waived / injured list.

Hickman joins the Vikings as a free agent entering the 2015 season. Hickman was signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent following the 2014 NFL Draft out of Florida International where he played on the same defensive line as Isame Faciane who is transitioning to G for the Vikings. The Tampa Bay, FL., native tallied 116 total tackles (82 solo), 13 sacks (72 yards), three interceptions, four pass breakups and seven forced fumbles in his collegiate career with the Panthers. Detroit released Hickman on 8/23/14, he then played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers from 9/21/14 to 4/30/15.
