Vikings Sign Free Agent CB Josh Thomas

The Minnesota Vikings have announced that the club has signed free agent CB Josh Thomas.

Thomas signs with the Vikings as a free agent entering the 2015 season. Thomas spent a part of the 2014 season with four different clubs. The Cedar Hill, Texas, native spent training camp with the Carolina Panthers and then saw action in the regular season with the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Detroit Lions. Thomas originally entered the NFL as a 5th round draft choice (143rd overall) by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent training camp with Dallas before being claimed off waivers by the Carolina Panthers. Thomas spent three seasons in Carolina, with his best season coming in 2013 when he made 13 appearances (six starts) as part of a defensive unit that ranked second in the league in total defense. Thomas played collegiately at Buffalo.
