Vikings Sign CB Xavier Rhodes To Contract Extension

The Minnesota Vikings announced CB Xavier Rhodeshas signed a contract extension with the club.

Throughout his career, Rhodes has totaled 236 tackles, 7 INTs, 68 PBUs, 8 TFLs, 2 FFs. In 2016, Rhodes was named to his first career Pro Bowl. Rhodes earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week after recording two interceptions, including one returned 100 yards for a touchdown vs. Arizona (11/20/16). He also was awarded Minnesota Vikings Defensive MVP honors during the 2016 season after totaling a career-high five interceptions.

The former Florida State standout has started in 52 of the 59 games he's appeared in since being drafted the first round (25th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
