Vikings Sign Banyard To Active Roster, Waive Line

On Saturday the Vikings signed RB Joe Banyard from the practice squad to the active roster and waived FB Zach Line.

Banyard has been elevated to the Vikings 53-man roster after spending the first week of the regular season on the team's practice squad. Banyard originally joined the Vikings as a practice squad player in 2012. Banyard spent the final 15 weeks of the 2013 season with the Vikings, the final three weeks on the team's active roster. Banyard made his first career NFL appearance against Philadelphia on 12/15/2013 and caught his first career reception on an 11-yard pass from Matt Cassel at Cincinnati on 12/22/2013.
