Vikings Re-Sign Fred Evans

The Vikings have re-signed veteran DT Fred Evans, the club announced today.

Evans has appeared in 94 contests with the Vikings during his 6 seasons with the club, including 6 starts. In 2013, Evans started 3-of-14 games he appeared in, recording 21 tackles and a career-best 4 passes defensed. He recorded the first forced fumble of his career at Seattle (11/17/13). In 2012 he posted a career best 2.0 sacks while appearing in all 16 games. In his 7-year NFL career, he has recorded 114 tackles, 3.0 sacks and 16 tackles for loss. Evans entered the NFL with the Miami Dolphins as a 7th-round draft pick (207th overall) in 2006.
