The Vikings have re-signed veteran offensive linemen Joe Berger, the club announced on Wednesday.

Berger has appeared in 45 regular season games in his 3 seasons with the Vikings, making 9 starts. In addition to his duties on the special teams unit, Berger has started games at center and both guard positions as a Viking. He saw action in all 16 games during the 2013 season, including starts vs. Washington (11/3) and vs. Philadelphia (12/15). As a blocker on the kick return unit, Berger helped the Vikings to the highest average starting field position after a kickoff in the NFL in 2013.  Berger joined the Vikings in Week 2 of the 2011 season and entered the NFL as a 6th-round pick by Carolina in the 2005 Draft. He has appeared in 87 games with 19 starts in his 9-year NFL career with Dallas, Miami and Minnesota.
