Vikings-Rams Gameday Updates

10:20 PM -The Vikings are undefeated in the preseason and at U.S. Bank Stadium. 

The Vikings beat the Rams 27-25.

10:04 PM - Minnesota goes three and out and punts it away. The Rams take over on their own 36-yard line

9:58 PM - The Rams respond with a 2-yard touchdown pass and add the 2-point conversion. The Vikings lead 27-18 in the fourth quarter.

9:41 PM - C.J. Ham plunges in from a yard out before Walsh tacks on the PAT try. The Vikings have 20 points off turnovers and lead 27-10.

9:38 PM - The Vikings punt but Jayron Kearse forces a fumble which is recovered by David Morgan. The Vikings take over on the Rams 6-yard line.

9:35 PM - Rookie Stephen Weatherly records a sack as the Vikings force the Rams to punt. Minnesota takes over on their own 20-yard line.

9:23 PM - Jhurell Pressley powers and weaves his way to a 106-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Presley evaded numerous defenders and outraced a pair of Rams to the end zone. Walsh added the PAT try as the Vikings lead 20-10.

9:20 PM - Minnesota's defense holds strong in the red zone and forces the Rams to try a field goal. Los Angeles' 35-yard try is good. The Vikings lead 13-10 with under 5 minutes left in the third quarter.

9:10 PM - The Vikings are forced to punt on their opening drive of the second half. The Rams take over on their own 25-yard line.

8:45 PM - The Vikings lead 13-7 at the half behind a 28-yard touchdown catch from Pressley and a pair of Blair Walsh field goals. Minnesota will get the ball to start the second half.

8:40 PM - Jhurell Pressley takes a short pass and rumbles 28 yards for a touchdown before diving into the end zone. Walsh adds the PAT try and the Vikings lead 13-7.

To set up the touchdown drive, Toby Johnson made a diving interception after a tipped pass by Justin Trattou.

8:35 PM - Blair Walsh tacks on a 34-yard field goal as the Vikings can't get in the end zone. Minnesota trails 7-6 with less than a minute to go in the first half.

8:32 PM - Stephen Weatherly pounces on a botched snap and the Vikings take over on the Rams 9-yard line. Brad Sorensen is in at quarterback for Minnesota.

8:24 PM - Brad Sorensen comes in at quarterback for the Vikings. Minnesota gets on the board with a 30-yard field goal from Blair Walsh. The Vikings trails 7-3 late in the second quarter.

8:21 PM - The Vikings are forced to punt near midfield but Jeff Locke's kick hits a Rams player. Jayron Kearse recovers the fumble as Minnesota takes over on the Rams 19-yard line.

8:10 PM - Kearse makes strong sideline tackle to prevent a first down and forces Los Angeles to punt. Sherels calls for a fair catch at the 23-yard line.

8:05 PM -Stave just misses on a deep pass to Jarius Wright and the Vikings drive stalls near midfield. Jeff Locke's punt goes inside the 10-yard line before being returned to the 20-yard line.

7:55 PM - The Vikings defense forced a quick three and out and forces the Rams to punt. Marcus Sherels calls for a fair catch at the 14-yard line.

7:52 PM - The Vikings can't get anything going and go three an out against the Rams, who take over on their own 36-yard line.

7:45 PM - Rookie safety Jayron Kearse helps end the Rams drive by disrupting a screen pass. Marcus Sherels has a nice punt return as the Vikings take over on their own 41-yard line.

7:37 PM - The Vikings drive past midfield but a third-down sack ends the drive. Jeff Locke pins a punt inside the 10-yard line where it is downed by Jabari Price at the 9-yard line

7:28 PM -The Vikings defense forces a quick three-and-out as Los Angeles punts.

Stave and the Vikings take over on their own 32-yard line.

7:24 PM - Joel Stave starts at quarterback for the Vikings, who begin the drive at their own 25-yard line. Minnesota picks up a first down but is forced to punt. The Rams will take over on their own 26-yard line.

7:13 PM - The Rams get on the board first with a 1-yard touchdown pass from Jared Goff to Kenny Britt. The Vikings had no starters in on defense as the unit was made up of entirely reserve players.

7:04 PM - Shaun Hill, Justin Trattou, Terence Newman and Brandon Fusco are the Vikings captains tonight. The Rams win the toss and elect to receive.

2 PM – What a difference four days can make. On the heels of last Sunday's fantastic debut of U.S. Bank Stadium and the team's impressive 23-10 win over the Chargers, the Teddy Bridgewater-less Vikings will now turn their attention to the Los Angeles Rams as both teams close out the preseason tonight in Minneapolis.
