Vikings Place Scott Crichton on IR, Sign Zach Moore To Active Roster

The Vikings have placed DE Scott Crichton, who suffered a concussion / neck injury during last week's loss to the Cardinals, on Injured Reserve. To take his place on the 53-man roster, the club has signed DE Zach Moore from the practice squad.

Moore, a Chicago, Ill., native was originally drafted in the 6th round (#198 overall) by the New England Patriots. The Concordia-St. Paul product played in eight games earning one start for the Patriots. Moore recorded three assisted tackles and 0.5 sack in his time in New England. The former Golden Bear joins Adam Thielen, who attended Minnesota State University on the Vikings roster, the duo competed against each other in college while playing in the NCAA Division II, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Moore and Thielen are joined by Marcus Sherels as 3 Vikings that attended Minnesota colleges on the active roster.
