Today the Vikings announced that the club has placed TE Nick Easton on injured reserve due to the knee injury he sustained during Sunday's win over Green Bay. To replace him, the team has signed rookie DE B.J. DuBose to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, and rookie DT Toby Johnson has been inked to the practice squad.

DuBose signed to the Vikings active roster after spending the 2015 regular season on the team's practice squad. DuBose was drafted in the 6th round (#193) of the 2015 NFL Draft by Minnesota. The Oakland Park, Fla., native appeared in 44 games at Louisville, making 20 starts. The former Cardinal was a member of the same recruiting class as Vikings QB Stefon Diggs and also played on the same 7-on-7 team, the South Florida Express. DuBose had a career year as a senior earning Honorable Mention All-ACC honors and starting all 13 games totaling 41 tackles, 4.0 sacks and 7.5 TFLs, all career bests.

Johnson joins the Vikings practice squad after most recently spending time on the Chicago Bears practice squad. The former Georgia Bulldog originally signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft and also spent time on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad during the 2015 campaign. The College Park, Ga., native played in 23 games for the Bulldogs, amassing 34 tackles and 5 TFLs in his two seasons at Georgia. Johnson attended Hutchinson Community College before enrolling at Georgia, where he was teammates with Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson. In his two seasons at Hutchinson, Johnson amassed 87 total tackles, 17 TFLs, 5.0 sacks, 9 PDs, 1 FF, 1 FR and blocked 2 kicks.
