Vikings Announce 2016 Preseason Schedule Featuring U.S. Bank Stadium's Debut on National TV

Eden Prairie, MN (April 7, 2016) – *The NFL has released the 2016 preseason schedule. The Vikings will spend the first two weeks on the road as they face the Cincinnati Bengals duringWeek 1. Minnesota last traveled to Cincinnati for a preseason game in 1997. Coach Zimmer will face his old club for the first time since becoming the Vikings head coach following the 2013 season. Minnesota will head to Seattle to face the Seahawks in aWeek 2* matchup, the 15th preseason meeting between Minnesota and Seattle.  

Week 3will be a national FOX broadcast as the Vikings make their debut at U.S. Bank Stadium against the San Diego Chargers. Kickoff will be at 12:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 28.

The preseason will conclude with the Los Angeles Rams traveling to Minnesota. The Week 4contest will be held on Thursday, September 1. This will mark the first time since 1991 for the Los Angeles Rams to appear in Minnesota and the 9th preseason meeting between the Los Angeles and Minnesota franchises.

All Vikings preseason games can be seen locally on KMSP Fox 9 TV and heard on KFAN-FM 100.3 and KTLK-AM 1130.

Preseason Week 1 (Aug. 12-14): @ Cincinnati Bengals

Preseason Week 2 (Aug. 19-21): @ Seattle Seahawks

Preseason Week 3 (Aug. 28): vs. San Diego Chargers

Preseason Week 4 (Sept. 1): vs. Los Angeles Rams
