Vikings Announce 2015 Coaching Staff Additions

Eden Prairie, MN (March 16, 2015) – The Vikings have addedAndrew Janocko (juh-NO-coe) andRobert Rodriguezto the coaching staff for the 2015 season. Janocko will serve as theQuality Control – Offenseand Rodriguez will be theAssistant Defensive Line Coach**.

Janocko will work closely with Head Coach Mike Zimmer and Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner as the offense's Quality Control Coach. Janocko enters his 5th season in the coaching ranks having served as a Graduate Assistant at Rutgers (2011), an offensive assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2012-13) and Quarterbacks Coach at Mercyhurst (2014). Janocko played QB collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh from 2007-10.

Rodriguezjoins the Vikings coaching staff as the team's Assistant Defensive Line Coach. Rodriguez has spent the previous 7 seasons coaching at his alma mater, University of Texas at El Paso. Rodriguez returned to UTEP in 2008 after playing professionally for the Calgary Stampeders (2006-07). In 2010, Rodriguez was elevated from Defensive Assistant to Linebackers Coach, a position he held for 2 seasons. Rodriguez took over coaching nickelbacks and serving as the team's Assistant Special Teams Coordinator in 2013. As a player, Rodriguez led the Western Athletic Conference in tackles three seasons and was the 2004 Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
