Prior to the Vikings taking the field for the final game of the inaugural season at U.S. Bank Stadium, Vikings Chief Operating Officer Kevin Warren and SMG General Manager Patrick Talty honored 15 game-day staff members during a SKOL Service MVP Award Ceremony.
Each staff member received a personalized Vikings jersey and plaque to thank them for their exceptional work this season. The ceremony served as a culmination of the Vikings and SMG's efforts throughout 2016 to create a new guest service program for game-day staff.
"Our SKOL Service program was developed to create a guest-focused culture for our event team members," said SMG Director of Event Services Billy Langenstein. "Our service strategy unites expectations, language stories, history and values for all of our team members that are part of the U.S. Bank Stadium experience."
More than 3,200 individuals work Vikings games at U.S. Bank Stadium to create the best possible environment for the fans. Vikings Vice President of Corporate Development and Guest Relations J.P. Paul worked closely with many members of the game-day staff and knows how hard they worked this season.
"The Vikings organization realizes the importance of our game day staff and the impact they have on our guests' experiences at U.S. Bank Stadium," Paul said. "We want to make sure they all understand how much we appreciate their efforts. Congratulations to our SKOL Service MVPs!"
