The Vikings have signed former Gopher S Brock Vereen to the practice squad.

Vereen joins the Vikings after playing in 3 games this season with the Chicago Bears. The Valencia, Calif., native played in all 16 games with the Bears during his rookie campaign in 2014, starting 4 games and recording 39 tackles (30 solo), 1 INT and 1 FF. He was selected by Chicago in the 4th round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Vereen returns to the Twin Cities after spending his four-year collegiate career at the University of Minnesota. During his time at Minnesota, Vereen started 36 of 47 collegiate games in the Gophers secondary and was named a 1st team All-Big Ten selection following his senior year.
