Vikings Activate WR Michael Floyd, Release RB Stevan Ridley

Eden Prairie, MN (October 9, 2017) – The Minnesota Vikings announced that the club has activated WR Michael Floyd to the 53-man roster and released RB Stevan Ridley.

Floyd, who signed with the Vikings as a free agent on May 10, 2017, spent the first five years of his NFL career with the Cardinals and Patriots. The St. Paul, Minnesota, native has 246 receptions for 3,781 yards and 24 TDs in 78 games (47 starts – 46 with the Cardinals and 1 with the Patriots) since entering the league in 2012. Floyd, who was the 13th overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, attended Cretin Derham Hall High School in St. Paul, where he was named the Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year on two occasions.
