Vikings Activate Myles Dorn, Elevate T.J. Smith

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings on Saturday activated safety Myles Dorn from their practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement and elevated defensive tackle T.J. Smith from the practice squad.

Dorn, a second-year pro who joined Minnesota in 2020 as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina, has appeared in three games so far in 2021.

Dorn played 10 snaps on special teams in Week 2 at Arizona and 17 for the unit in each of Minnesota's past two wins over the Chargers and Packers.

Smith, who played collegiately at Arkansas, joined the Vikings practice squad in October after spending time with the Chargers. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2020 and could make his pro debut Sunday for a Minnesota squad that it shorthanded on the defensive line.

The Vikings (5-5) visit the 49ers (5-5) at 3:25 p.m. (CT) Sunday.
