Eagan, Minn. (October 5, 2018) – The Vikings have announced that the club has activated linebacker Kentrell Brothers to the 53-man roster. To make room for Brothers the Vikings have released guard Bryan Witzmann.
Brothers (6-1, 242) was originally selected by the Vikings in the 5th round (160th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. The Edmond, Oklahoma native has appeared in 28 career games for Minnesota, including 2 playoff appearances, and led the team with 25 total special teams tackles over the course of the 2016 and 2017 seasons. Brothers attended the University of Missouri, earning All-SEC honors after leading the nation with 156 tackles as a senior.
