EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings nearly doubled their rookie class in one swoop Saturday.

Shortly after wrapping the 2022 NFL Draft by selecting 10 players, Minnesota announced it had agreed to terms with nine undrafted rookie free agents. One of the players initially announced (Virginia Tech receiver Tré Turner) instead wound up signing with the Las Vegas Raiders.

That means Appalachian State's Thomas Hennigan, who had teamed with Turner at Northwest Guilford High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, is now the lone receiver in the group of undrafted free agents.

The Vikings also added a pair of outside linebackers: sixth-year senior Zach McCloud from the Miami Hurricanes and Luiji Vilain, a native of Canada who was drafted in the 2021 CFL Draft by the Toronto Argonauts out of Michigan but opted to transfer to Wake Forest last year.
