One-Year Remains: Stadium Time Lapse

With just one year left on the project, this week the Vikings and EarthCam released a stadium construction time lapse showing the progress to date. On Monday, Mortenson Construction, HKS, the Vikings and the MSFA gave media the latest look at the site, while U.S. Bank and the Vikings celebrated the one-year milestone by serving lunch to approximately 1,200 construction workers, all of whom received Vikings-U.S. Bank Stadium-themed hard hats.* *

U.S. Bank Stadium Signage Installed

U.S. Bank Stadium signage installation began this week with the stadium's east sign going up over the course of four days. Ultimately the name will be visible on all four sides of the stadium, as well as across the hard-metal deck roof that can be illuminated at night. First of Five Vertical Trusses Placed on Site

Earlier this week the first of five vertical truss columns making up the west wall was placed at U.S. Bank Stadium. These columns will be located above the operable doors and will support the glass above.

Vikings Stadium Point-Man Profiled by Star Tribune

Last Sunday the Star Tribune profiled Vikings Executive Vice President of Public Affairs & Stadium Development Lester Bagley, who served as the Vikings point-man on the stadium effort for more than 10 years until legislation passed in 2012. The piece discusses Bagley's effort at the Capitol and his continued work on the stadium's design and construction. Bagley said the strategy at the Capitol "was simple: perseverance. "We went…and built momentum. We had no choice but to follow through."
