Top 5 Vikings Snow Games

2. Vikings at Ravens (2013)A wide-sweeping system of storms in Week 14 impacted several games across the NFL, including the Vikings-Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium. The teams combined for just 13 points through the first three quarters, but the teams combined for 36 points in the final 2:05 as the Ravens came away with a 29-26 victory thanks to a Joe-Flacco-to-Marlon Brown touchdown with just four seconds to play.

3. Vikings at Lions (Thanksgiving Day 1969)Most current Vikings fans remember games against the Lions being played in either the Pontiac Silverdome or the team's current home – Ford Field. But before those comfortable indoor venues were built, the Vikings played road games against the Lions at Tiger Stadium. On Thanksgiving Day in 1969, the Vikings defense pitched a shutout while the team racked up 27 points, thanks partially to a defensive touchdown by Hall of Famer Alan Page in the 4th quarter.

4. Vikings at Broncos (1993)Thanks to four Fuad Reveiz field goals (say that five times fast) and two touchdown passes from Sean Salisbury, the Vikings overcame mistakes, a 20-3 deficit and, yes, even snow to register a 26-23 victory over the Denver Broncos in a win that moved them over the .500 mark and helped them earn a playoff berth.

5. Vikings at Eagles (2010)A severe snowstorm forced the NFL to postpone a Vikings-Eagles game scheduled to be played in Philadelphia on NBC's Sunday Football. So much snow fell that the game was played the following Tuesday, marking the first Tuesday NFL game since 1946. Once the teams finally took the field, the Vikings came away victorious thanks to an Antoine Winfield fumble-return touchdown in the 2nd quarter and an Adrian Peterson touchdown run in the 4th quarter. With that game, the Vikings played in five different stadiums over the final six weeks of the season (FedEx Field, Mall of America Field, Ford Field, TCF Bank Stadium and Lincoln Financial Field).

1. Vikings at Patriots (1970)The Vikings penultimate game of the 1970 season was notable for two reasons. First, the game was played at Harvard's football stadium while the Boston Patriots new stadium was being built in Foxboro. Secondly, a wicked blizzard set a winter wonderland-like stage for the Vikings and Patriots to do battle.

Boston Globe sports columnist and NBC commentator Will McDonough, who covered the Patriots for the Globe during the 1970 season said this about the game, which the Vikings won 35-14.

"Before the last game of the season against the Vikings, there was a huge blizzard, and of course, Harvard was not going to clear it up. People were standing up the whole game and since the press box was open, we were all standing up too."
