Ticketmaster Hot Matchup: Hard-Hitting Harrison Smith

The Bears will have their starting quarterback under center on Sunday when they travel to Minnesota. Cutler's return to the lineup along with the presence of talented playmakers TE Martellus Bennett, RB Matt Forte and WR Alshon Jeffery will have the Bears offense anxious to heat up in what will be a bitter-cold season finale.

But the Vikings will counter with a stingy defense looking to rebound from an uncharacteristic performance last week in Miami. The Vikings top individual weapon will be S Harrison Smith. The presence of this hard-hitting defender in the Vikings defense is the subject of this week's Ticketmaster Hot Matchup.

Smith, a bona fide Pro Bowl snub this season, leads the Vikings in tackles with 116. He's been filling up the stat sheet on a weekly basis in many other areas, too. He has nine pass breakups, five interceptions, 4.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks and one forced fumble, too. Smith is tied for third in the NFL with his five interceptions and he is the only player in the NFL this season and just the fourth defensive back in team history to have at least three interceptions and 3.0 sacks in a season.

Filling up the stat sheet is nothing new for Smith, particularly against the Bears. Smith has suited up against the Bears four times in his career, and he's intercepted Cutler in three of those four games, including earlier this season. In total against the Bears, Smith has 24 tackles and one touchdown to go along with the three interceptions.

The bitter cold may not be enough to slow down the Bears offense, but a hard-hitting Harrison Smith could be.
