Teddy Bridgewater's maxed-out rating earns 'Clutch Performer' nomination

Teddy Bridgewater's leadership down the stretch, which resulted in his fifth career game-winning drive, on Sunday in Chicago has led to his nomination for the Castrol Edge Clutch Performer of Week 8.

Bridgewater connected with Stefon Diggs for a game-tying 40-yard touchdown with 1:49 remaining to cap a seven-play, 84-yard drive and shift momentum back to the Vikings.

After Minnesota's defense forced a three-and-punt, Bridgewater led a four-play, 48-yard drive highlighted by an incredible catch from @MrInkredibleXII Charles Johnson for a 35-yard gain to the Chicago 27-yard line with 27 seconds remaining.

A gain of 9 by Adrian Peterson followed to set up a 36-yard field goal by Blair Walsh — the fourth game-winning kick of Walsh's career.

In the final two possessions, Bridgewater was 6-of-7 passing for 106 yards and the touchdown to Diggs, reaching the NFL maximum passer rating of 158.3.

In addition to Bridgewater, New Orleans QB Drew Brees, Cincinnati QB Andy Dalton, Seattle QB Russell Wilson and Carolina LB Luke Kuechly are on the ballot for Week 8.
