Prospect Profiles: TE Maxx Williams

maxx-big.jpg

Summary: Used primarily as a move tight end, Williams can be a matchup nightmare for teams because he's more athletic than many linebackers and is bigger than many safeties. The Waconia native is the son of Brian Williams, a former center who was drafted in the first round out of Minnesota by the New York Giants in 1989.

Stacking up: Both Mike Mayock and Bucky Brooks of NFL Network have Williams rated as their top player in the TE position group. Mayock said Williams is the only tight end he has graded in the first two rounds and also said the former Gophers star has "really good hands."

Impact Stat: 82 percent of Williams' catches were for either a first down or touchdown.
