Summary: After two seasons of limited opportunities (11 carries for 65 yards), Cobb's workload increased dramatically over his junior and senior seasons, and he showed he was up to the challenge. Cobb rushed 237 times for 1,202 yards and seven scores as a junior and followed by setting school single-season records in attempts and rushing yards as a senior. Cobb's career included 13 games with 100 or more yards rushing, and the Gophers were 9-4 in those contests. Cobb had several notable performances last fall, including three touchdowns and 145 yards on 27 carries against eventual champ Ohio State.

Stacking up: The running back class is considered to be one of the deepest in recent history and one of the strongest elements of this year's field. Cobb is not in top five position rankings by NFL Media analysts Mike Mayock or Bucky Brooks, but is expected to be drafted and likely to make an impact in 2015. Lance Zierlein pointed out in Cobb's combine bio page that he gained 54 percent of his yards after contact 2013-14.

Career ranks:Cobb's resilient productivity in his final two seasons enabled him to finish his Gophers career seventh in attempts and rushing yards.
