Power Team - The Final Session

On October 27th we had our final Power Team of the season! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Power Team, it is a series of multiple fitness tests conducted 3 times per season. Power Team is a good way to stay motivated from a fitness perspective, as the goal is to improve in one or more fitness tests each time.

You may be asking yourself, "What fitness tests are included in Power Team?" Well, let me bring you up to speed! J The testing includes a 5K run, pull ups, 2 minute plank, 40 sit-ups, 30 push-ups, 2 minute wall sit, 50 yard bear crawl, 100 yard sprint, sprints to the 10, 20 & 30 yard lines, as well as a flexibility test including the splits and two sets of kicks.

In order to be inducted into the Power Team, all of these tests must be completed, with good form, in a specific time frame. If one does make the Power Team, the coaches hand out a cute Power Team gift, such as a tank top, sports bra or head band as a thank you for our hard work and dedication!

For our final session, we had 24 girls make the Power Team – a record high this season! Not only is it a great way to test our fitness and commitment on an individual level, but it is also a supportive and encouraging environment where we are able to bond as a team.

Love, SKOL & Stay Swol!

XoXo!
