Playoff Scenarios for Week 16

EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings can secure their third trip to the NFC Playoffs in four seasons if three things happen in Week 16.

Minnesota (7-6-1) visits Detroit (5-9) at noon (CT) Sunday in the penultimate week of the 2018 regular season.

The Vikings will already know what happens between the Redskins (7-7) and Titans (8-6), who play at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, by kickoff. They won't, however, know what will transpire between Houston (10-4) and Philadelphia (7-7), who are scheduled to play at noon (CT) Sunday.

In order to secure a postseason spot this weekend, Minnesota needs: to defeat Detroit AND Philadelphia to lose or tie AND Washington to lose.

Here's a look at the other remaining playoff scenarios for Week 16 (the Rams, Saints and Bears have already wrapped up the NFC West, NFC South and NFC North divisions).
