Fans across the country have been able to see U.S. Bank Stadium thanks to two national two broadcasts of the first two regular-season games in the venue's history, as well as a rare, Sunday preseason game that kicked off at noon on Aug. 28.

Fans close to home will be able to see the days and nights of work that went into making U.S. Bank Stadium one of the most unique sporting venues in the world.

Open the Gates: U.S. Bank Stadium is a documentary that is scheduled to air at 4 p.m. on Saturday on FOX-9 KMSP in the Twin Cities. A replay of the documentary is scheduled to air at 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 on My29 WFTC.

The documentary chronicles the largest public-private construction project in Minnesota history, from planning to groundbreaking to substantial completion to the ribbon cutting. It also captures the atmosphere of a sizzling opening night, during which the Vikings defeated the Packers 17-14.

Open the Gates highlights multiple signature architectural features, including five of the world's largest pivoting glass doors and clear ETFE material on 60 percent of the roof that give the building an outdoor feel in a space that can be completely climate controlled.

U.S. Bank Stadium's design was inspired by the climate and culture of the Upper Midwest and built by Minnesotans.
