NFL Announces Early Entrants for 2016 Draft

More than 100 college seniors are in St. Petersburg, Florida, for Saturday's 91st East-West Shrine Game.

Another 100-plus are preparing to descend on Mobile, Alabama for the Reese's Senior Bowl, which is scheduled for Jan. 30.

There are also more than 100 early entrants with college football eligibility remaining who have been classified as eligible for the 2016 NFL Draft (April 28-30 in Chicago).

The NFL announced Friday the names of 11 players who fulfilled degree requirements before their college football eligibility expired are available for selection.

The league also announced the names of 96 players who have been granted special eligibility for the draft by meeting the NFL's three-year rule and submitting a written application in which players renounce their remaining college eligibility.

The total of 96 is the second-highest amount in the past 10 years, two behind 98 in 2014 that included Vikings first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater.
