EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings added more depth to their offensive line Thursday with the signing of Dakota Dozier.

Dozier, a fourth-round pick of the Jets in 2014, spent the previous five seasons with New York.

The 27-year-old appeared in 37 total games, making seven starts in that span. He made multiple starts in each of the past three seasons, all at right guard.

Dozier did not play against the Vikings in Minnesota's 37-17 win over the Jets in Week 7 of the 2018 season.

Dozier played 106 offensive snaps for the Jets in 2018, and the 6-foot-4, 313-pound linemen even saw time at fullback over the final few games of the season.

The South Carolina native attended Furman University, where he primarily played left tackle. Dozier made 43 of his 44 college starts at that spot while also starting one game at left guard.

Dozier is the second offensive lineman the Vikings have added in the past two weeks. Minnesota also signed guard Josh Kline **on March 20**.
