- MVC Taylor

MVC Shanyn

This is my third season as a captain for the MVC, and it is an absolute honor to lead such an incredible team. I looked up to the captains when I joined the team five years ago and aspired to lead my life inside and outside of the MVC with the same kindness, inclusivity, positivity, work ethic, integrity, confidence and professionalism as they did.

To me, being named a captain means that I get to be that role model for the newer members of the team. My favorite part about being a captain is supporting my teammates in every way that I possibly can. Whether that's helping them hone an important life skill such as organization or communication, being a listening ear when they need one, or simply helping them realize all the amazing gifts they already have inside of them to share with others, I'm here to be their biggest fan as they continue to serve our community, cheer on the Vikings and continue with all of their future endeavors. I am forever grateful to be an MVC captain and hope I can help the team to always be the best it can be!

Fun fact about me:

I own a house that's more than 120 years old and love spending time fixing it up and dreaming up new house projects to do with my husband. (My favorite old feature of the house are height measurements on the wall of the children who lived in the house originally.)

MVC Morgan

This is my fifth year as an MVC and second year being a captain. Being named captain was so rewarding and has allowed me to grow immensely as a person. My favorite part about being a captain is being the ultimate hype girl for my small team and teammates. I love to emphasize the importance of enjoying every moment. We work so hard and cannot forget to enjoy all of that hard work! My favorite feeling is when my entire small team and I are living our best lives together on the sidelines. There truly is nothing better!

What made you fall in love with dance and or cheer?

I joined dance when I was 3 years old because my older sister was in dance class. Little did I know, I would find my life-long best friend, MVC Alex. We have danced our entire lives together, from 3 years old to college to the NFL! Having a best friend to take on the many phases of dance made it so much better. Not to mention all the amazing MVC Alumni I've had as coaches throughout the years that have guided me to work hard and achieve this amazing opportunity that I am forever grateful for.

MVC Alex

Hi, I'm Alex, and I am in my sixth year on the MVC and a fourth-year captain! I feel so honored to hold a captain position and to help lead a team of such talented and driven women. To me, being a captain means supporting and inspiring my teammates on and off the field, while building a strong culture within. It means leading by example and consistently giving your all to set the tone and motivate others to push themselves and reach their full potential. One of my favorite parts about being captain is mentoring and guiding my teammates throughout their MVC journey. I love empowering my teammates to succeed past their expectations and building their confidence along the way.

Witnessing everyone improve and grow throughout the year as a result of hard work, determination and teamwork is one the most rewarding parts of my leadership role. My goal as a captain is for my teammates to look back at the end of the season and be proud of how far they've grown as people and professional dancers. Most of all, I love the lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories that come from leading and being a part of this amazing team!

What was your dream job when you were young?

Ever since I can remember, I have always dreamt of being a professional dancer one day. Becoming an MVC and achieving one of my biggest goals since I was a child is truly a dream come true!

Another one of my dream careers when growing up was to be a fashion designer for dresses. I used to sketch dresses daily and was obsessed with the show Project Runway. I love the creativity and use of imagination that is needed to come up with unique and innovative designs. To this day, I still think it would be such a fun and exciting career and occasionally wonder what my life would be like if I pursued that passion more seriously.

MVC Andrea

Hi Vikings fans, my name is Andrea! This will be my sixth year on the team and third year as a dance captain. I am humbled that I have been given another opportunity to lead such an amazing group of women. Being an MVC captain is something I will never take for granted, as my drive to help this team only continues to grow. I welcome the opportunity to lead a new group of women each year, and it's incredibly fulfilling to see them grow. With each year that goes by, I feel like the added experience leaves me with even more to offer the following year.

My favorite thing about being a captain is creating a tight bond with my Small Team each year. We become so close in such a short amount of time, and it is a blast being each other's cheerleaders on the sidelines.

What is your favorite memory from your years as an MVC?

My favorite memory from last season was getting engaged to my longtime boyfriend, Joey! He proposed to me at the Rams vs. Vikings game in December 2021. Not only was I surprised to see him on the field, but down on one knee! We had more than 25 family members in the stands to witness the proposal, and it was a moment I'll never forget.

MVC Whitney

My name is Whitney, and this is my third season with the MVC and first year as a captain. It is an absolute honor to be able to help lead this team of incredible women. I am constantly in awe of the amazing talent of the MVC on and off the field and feel very lucky to be included in this incredible program. I love helping the women on this team become the best versions of themselves. My favorite thing about being a captain is when I see others succeeding and reaching their full potential! SKOL!"

What is the best advice you have ever received?

Some of the best advice I have ever received is to never give up on something you can't go a day without thinking about. Whether it is a personal goal, a business idea, or a big dream – be confident in yourself, follow your heart, and MAKE IT HAPPEN.
