Kendricks nominated for Week 7 Pepsi rookie award

Vikings linebacker Eric Kendricks has been nominated for Pepsi Rookie of the Week for Week 7.

It is the second straight week that Kendricks has been nominated for the award that is chosen through fan voting.

Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs was **selected in Week 6** after he had seven catches for 129 yards against Kansas City.

Kendricks had 2.0 sacks and three tackles for loss at Detroit Sunday.

The other nominees for Week 7 are: St. Louis RB Todd Gurley (128 yards, two TDs), Oakland WR Amari Cooper (133 yards, one TD), Jacksonville RB T.J. Yeldon (115 yards, one TD) and New Orleans LB Stephone Anthony (seven tackles, one interception).

Fans can vote for Kendricks at **nfl.com/rookies** through Friday at 2 p.m. (CT). The winner* *will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on NFL.com.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year will be announced at the "5th Annual NFL Honors" awards show in San Francisco on CBS on Saturday, Feb. 6, the night before Super Bowl 50.

Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater won Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year after the 2014 season.

This is Pepsi's 14th year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL and the 13th year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.
