EAGAN, Minn. — The Vikings added to their offensive line group Wednesday with the announced signing of guard Joshua Gray.
To create a spot on the roster, Minnesota terminated the contract of vested veteran defensive lineman Eric Johnson II, who is free to sign with another team.
Gray initially signed with the Falcons in 2025 as an undrafted free agent. The former Oregon State standout spent last season on Atlanta's practice squad and was elevated to its active roster in Week 10. The Falcons waived Gray in July, and he signed with the Panthers in August. He played last week in Carolina's preseason game against Buffalo, playing 39 percent of the team's offensive snaps.
Gray played his entire collegiate career (2019-24) at Oregon State, where he started a school-record 56 career games — including 44 consecutive starts from 2020-23. As a redshirt senior in 2024, Gray played 916 snaps, more than anyone else on the Beavers roster. He helped Oregon State's offense rush for an average of 189.2 yards per game and allowed just one sack. Gray, who was penalized just once, received a grade of 74.1 from analytics site Pro Football Focus for his 2024 campaign.
Gray shares an alma mater with Vikings center Blake Brandel; the two overlapped at Oregon State in 2019.
A California native, Gray attended Rancho Cucamonga High School and was a First-Team All-League and First-Team All-CIF selection.
