Goalposts Installed at U.S. Bank Stadium

The uprights are upright.

The goalposts have been installed at U.S. Bank Stadium, bringing the state-of-the-art venue another step closer to completion.

The posts were transported from the team's Winter Park headquarters Monday morning to downtown Minneapolis and put in place by the Vikings turf team.

Crews previously completed the installation of the field turf, including the "VIKINGS" purple letters in the end zone and the Norseman logo at midfield.

The City of Minneapolis issued the Certificate of Occupancy for U.S. Bank Stadium on Friday, six weeks ahead of schedule.

The Vikings are scheduled to host the Chargers in a preseason contest at noon (CT) on Aug. 28 in the first football game at U.S. Bank Stadium. Minnesota's first home game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (CT) on Sept. 18.
